Funding
Sunseed Tanzania Trust (STT) uses over 90% of its income in Tanzania.
Apart from the Tanzanian team, none of those working with STT, including the trustees, treasurer, administrator, fund raising administrator and web master receive any payment. Those who visit the programme in Tanzania do so at their own expense.
Tanzania Trust obtains funds from a variety of sources. Over the years these have included numerous donations from individuals ranging in size from £5 to over £1000, as well as donations from a number of organisations including:
All Saints Church, Pocklington; Alexi Marmott Associates; Bill Bordass Associates; B Legg and Associates; Bury Society of Friends; International Tree Foundation; Isle of Mann Charitable Trust; Just Trust; Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland; Martin Currie Charitable Foundation; McKnight Foundation; Millward Charitable Trust; Rotary International Kent; Ryklow Charitable Trust; St Anne’s College, University of Oxford, Junior Common room; The Happold Trust; The Kitchen Table Trust; and West Lamington Ladies Group;
It costs:
- £10 to provide a family with an Energy Efficient Stove;
- £50 to buy a bicycle for the community so they can take seedlings and fruit to market;
- £80 to set up a tree nursery.
